Press Releases - 24.10.2024
Eschborn; Kronberg, 24th October 2024. Techem, a service provider for smart and sustainable buildings, and Kronberg Academy, one of the most important musical meeting places, sources of inspiration and training centers worldwide, are entering into a partnership for an energy-efficient and green future. In addition to their shared mission, both partners are particularly united by their firm, emotional roots in Europe and the region.
The focus here is on the “Casals Forum”, which is scheduled to open in 2022. The Forum is considered the heart of Kronberg Academy and consists of a concert hall and an affiliated study center. It is unique in Europe in terms of both form and size. Another special feature is its sustainable and regenerative energy concept: the Casals Forum is air-conditioned with an innovative ice storage system and can therefore be operated in a CO2-neutral manner. As part of a customized heating and cooling contracting agreement, the Eschborn-based energy service provider Techem is now not only supplying 100% green electricity, but also guaranteeing an efficient operating plant. “As a holistic service partner, Techem focuses on reducing the CO2e of energy supply to buildings through innovative heating and cooling systems in heating and cooling contracting. This makes us the ideal partner to ensure a sustainable and economical energy supply for the Casals Forum in Kronberg and to create an optimal indoor climate for artists and visitors,” explains Matthias Hartmann, CEO of Techem.
Social commitment for individuals and the community
In addition to green contracting solutions and its digital products and services, which are geared towards the goal of a climate-neutral building sector, Techem also pursues an ambitious approach to social engagement. The company focuses on collaborations that have a positive impact on individuals and communities. “The partnership between Kronberg Academy and Techem combines excellence and a spirit of innovation with value-oriented action. By supporting social and ecological projects, both partners make a positive contribution to our society and environment. At Techem, we consciously go beyond our own corporate boundaries and support employees who are actively involved in initiatives for a sustainable future,” Hartmann continued.
The Kronberg Academy, at the same time, pursuits the goal to raise its students' awareness of sustainability and to encourage them to do good through music – especially for people who would otherwise find it difficult or impossible to access classical concerts. Raimund Trenkler, founder and artistic director of Kronberg Academy, emphasizes: “We are delighted to have Techem at our side as another strong partner that shares our ambitious attitude towards responsibility for the environment and society. Kronberg Academy transforms a world selection of outstanding talents into important artistic personalities – in a spirit of responsibility for music, people and nature. Our goal is to prepare the best young artists to meet the climatological and social challenges of the coming decades as responsible artists.”
Sustainability as the basis for a strong partnership
With over 70 years of experience and innovation behind it, Techem is the ideal partner to actively shape Kronberg Academy's sustainable energy future. Guided by the central principles of energy efficiency and decarbonization, Techem has set itself the goal of creating transparency for landlords and tenants by using digital measurement and AI-supported analysis of consumption data (et al.) in order to promote the conscious use of energy. In this way, the internationally active company is making a central contribution to achieving a climate-neutral building stock and the climate targets.
Kronberg Academy, located in the heart of Europe, brings together the most talented young violin, viola, cello and piano players, and introduces them to the most prominent and outstanding musicians of our time. This not only results in extraordinary mutual inspiration, but also specifically promotes the development of young talent. The aim is for them to grow into artistic personalities who are aware of their responsibility to music and, in particular, to society.
