Cookies

Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

Cookies that are not technically necessary and collect your data generally require your consent. When you call up our website, you will be asked with the help of the Cookiebot tool which cookies you would like to give your consent to. You can change or revoke your consent at any time in the section (Cookiebot).

You can also set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser.

Possibility of objection

You can object to the collection and storage of the above-mentioned data by using the cookie banner displayed to refuse the use of cookies or by rejecting the use of cookies in your browser settings.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • IP address
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

eTracker

Our website uses the etracker analysis service. The provider is etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg Germany. Usage profiles can be created from the data under a pseudonym. Cookies can be used for this purpose. The data collected with the etracker technologies will not be used without the separately granted consent of the person concerned. Visitors cannot be identified from the collected data, nor are visitors to our website personally identifiable and are not merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym.  In order to regularly optimize our website in the interest of our users, we have chosen the variant of session tracking combined with analyses requiring consent. No consent is required for session tracking, as website data with abbreviated IP address is used, which is only transmitted when the page is accessed.. Thus, no information is read from the memory of the user's terminal device and no information is stored on the terminal device. Subject to consent (cookie is set), on the other hand, is the so-called scroll depth analysis, in order to recognize up to which part of the page the user scrolls. This allows the content of the page to be prioritized, ensuring that the most important information for the user is placed above the page.

To object to data collection and storage of your visitor data for the future, you can obtain an opt-out cookie from etracker using the following link. This will ensure that no visitor data from your browser is collected and stored by etracker in the future: https://www.etracker.de/privacy?et=roEKo9 This will set an opt-out cookie with the name "cntcookie" from etracker. Please do not delete this cookie as long as you wish to maintain your opt-out. For more information, please see etracker's privacy policy: https://www.etracker.com/de/datenschutz.html

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using eTracker is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (your consent). You can change or revoke this at any time (section Privacy Policy Cookiebot).

FriendlyCaptcha

On this website we use the tool "FriendlyCaptcha", which is provided by FriendlyCaptcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Wörthsee, Germany. To protect the website from spam and abuse, this tool is used for all contact forms. The function of the tool is to distinguish whether the data entered into the contact form was entered by a natural person or whether it was misused by a machine and automated processing. By using FriendlyCaptcha, we can block automated software.

FriendlyCaptcha is a proof-of-work-based CAPTCHA where the user's device does all the work. No personal data is transmitted or processed by FriendlyCaptcha in this process.

Use of Adobe Cloud Services

A web service of the company Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, 345 Park Avenue, 95110 San Jose (hereinafter: Adobe Cloud Services) is reloaded on our website. Adobe Cloud Services has self-certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement (see https://www.privacyshield.gov/list). Alternatively, standard contractual clauses have been agreed for the transfer.

Your browser may transmit personal data to Adobe Cloud Services (user behavior). The legal basis for the processing of personal data using Adobe Cloud Services is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (your consent) You can change or revoke this at any time (section Privacy Policy Cookiebot) However, you can also prevent the collection as well as the processing of your data by Adobe Cloud Services by disabling the execution of script code in your browser or installing a script blocker in your browser.

The data is deleted as soon as the purpose of its collection has been fulfilled. For more information on the handling of transferred data, see the Adobe Cloud Services privacy policy: http://www.adobe.com/de/privacy.html. Adobe Cloud Services includes Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics, which are explained in the following paragraphs.

Adobe Target

From Adobe, we use the Adobe Target software. The software allows us to run so-called A/B tests or multivariate tests on the website. For this purpose, the software controls a modified version of the website (e.g. with different design and content) compared to the original version. By comparing the two variants, we can then determine which presentation our website visitors prefer. This allows us to continuously optimize the portal for our users. We also need the service to display context-sensitive notices and inform users about current promotions and offers.

Adobe Target uses quantitative methods to track user behavior. We do not collect or process the full IP address or any data that could be used to identify individuals. Adobe uses "session cookies" and "permanent cookies". The former are only temporarily stored for the duration of your use of our website. Permanent cookies are used to record information about visitors who repeatedly access our website.

If you have consented to the above personalization of website/newsletter content, pseudonymous interest profiles are created, for which data from Adobe Analytics and segments from Adobe Audience Manager may also be used. For more info on Adobe Target features, click here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/implement-target/before-implement/privacy/cmp-privacy-and-general-data-protection-regulation.html?lang=de#concept_41F88DE95D2943178BEC382736B5C038

We use Adobe Target for the purpose of personalization only with your prior consent. You can give or revoke this consent in our Consent Management System either when you first visit our website via the consent banner or at any time in the cookie settings (see section Cookiebot Privacy Policy).

Adobe Analytics

On this website, we use the Adobe Analytics web analytics service provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited ("Adobe Analytics"). Adobe Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored locally in the cache of your Internet browser and that enable an analysis of the use of the website. If the information generated by the cookie about the use of the website is transmitted to a server of Adobe, then the settings ensure that the IP address is anonymized before geolocation and replaced by a generic IP address before storage.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Adobe Analytics is not merged with other Adobe data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Adobe, as well as the processing of this data by Adobe, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/opt-out.html. You can also revoke or adjust your consent of cookies on our website (See section Cookiebot).

Google Maps

Our website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043) also collects, processes and uses data on the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the websites. For more information on data processing by Google, please refer to Google's privacy policy, which can be found at www.google.com/privacypolicy.html

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using Adobe Cloud Services is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (your consent) You can change or revoke this at any time (section Privacy Policy Cookiebot) However, you can also prevent the collection as well as the processing of your data by Google Maps by disabling the execution of script code in your browser or installing a script blocker in your browser.

Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

We use the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and in this context Google Conversion Tracking, an analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google").
If you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer ("conversion cookie"). These cookies lose their validity after 30 days, do not contain any personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification.  If you visit certain web pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, there is no way that cookies can be tracked across AdWords customers' websites.
The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This tells customers the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
If you wish to disable conversion tracking cookies, you can set your browser (disable mode) to block cookies from the following domain: "googleadservices.com". You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can find further information and Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/. In addition, you can give or revoke cookies in our Consent Management System either during your first visit to our website via the consent banner or at any time in the cookie settings (see section Cookiebot Privacy Policy).

Marketo

Marketo is used in the context of sending information. With the help of Marketo, we also collect statistical data on the use of our website offer and communication measures in order to optimize our offer accordingly and to conduct e-mail marketing. In doing so, the processing is partly automated with the aim of evaluating certain personal aspects. Marketo collects your IP address and uses it to track and analyze the use of the website in order to provide information specifically tailored to the user's interests. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted to and stored on a Marketo server (located within the EU/EEA). On our behalf, Marketo uses this information to evaluate the use of the website by registered persons and to compile reports on website activities. If information generated in this process is transmitted to sites in third countries, this is done on the basis of standard contractual clauses.

Further information on data protection at Marketo can be found at: https://legal.marketo.com/vertrauen/legal/datenschutz/. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using Marketo is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (your consent). You can change or revoke this at any time (section Privacy Policy Cookiebot) .

Facebook Business Tools

We use the Facebook Pixel on our website, a Facebook Business Tool from Facebook Ireland Limited (Ireland, EU). For information on Facebook Ireland's contact details and the contact details of Facebook Ireland's data protection officer, please refer to Facebook Ireland's data policy at www.facebook.com/about/privacy

The Facebook pixel is a JavaScript code snippet that allows us to track visitors' activity on our website. This tracking is called conversion tracking. For this purpose, the Facebook pixel collects and processes the following information (so-called event data):

  • Information about actions and activities of visitors to our website, such as searching for and viewing a product or purchasing a product;
  • Specific pixel information such as the pixel ID and the Facebook cookie;

  • Information present in HTTP headers, such as IP addresses, web browser information, page location, and referrer;
  • Information about the status of disabling/restricting ad tracking.

Some of, this event data is information stored in the device you are using. In addition, cookies are also used via the Facebook pixel, through which information is stored on your end device used. Such storage of information by the Facebook pixel or access to information already stored in your end device will only occur with your consent.

Tracked conversions appear in the dashboard of our Facebook Ads Manager and Facebook Analytics. We may use the tracked conversions there to measure the effectiveness of our ads, set Custom Audiences for ad targeting, Dynamic Ads campaigns, and analyze the effectiveness of our website's conversion funnels. The features we use through the Facebook Pixel are described in more detail below.

Processing of event data for advertising purposes

Event data collected via the Facebook Pixel is used for targeting our ads and improving ad delivery, personalizing features and content, and improving and securing Facebook products.

For this purpose, event data is collected on our website by means of the Facebook pixel and transmitted to Facebook Ireland. This only takes place if you have previously given your consent to this. The legal basis for the collection and transmission of personal data by us to Facebook Ireland is therefore Art. 6 (1) a GDPR.

This collection and transmission of event data is carried out by us and Facebook Ireland as joint controllers. We have entered into a joint controller processing agreement with Facebook Ireland, which sets out the distribution of data protection obligations between us and Facebook Ireland. In this agreement, we and Facebook Ireland have agreed, among other things,

  • that we are responsible for providing you with all information pursuant to Art. 13, 14 GDPR about the joint processing of personal data;
  • that Facebook Ireland is responsible for enabling data subjects' rights under Art. 15 to 20 of the GDPR with respect to personal data stored by Facebook Ireland after the joint processing.

You can access the agreement concluded between us and Facebook Ireland at www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum

Facebook Ireland is the sole controller for the subsequent processing of the transmitted event data. For more information about how Facebook Ireland processes personal data, including the legal basis on which Facebook Ireland relies and how you can exercise your rights against Facebook Ireland, please see Facebook Ireland's Data Policy at www.facebook.com/about/privacy

Processing of Event Data for Analytics Purposes

We have also engaged Facebook Ireland to prepare reports on the impact of our advertising campaigns and other online content based on the Event Data collected through the Facebook Pixel (Campaign Reports) and to provide analysis and insights about users and their use of our website, products and services (Analytics). We transfer personal data contained in the Event Data to Facebook Ireland for this purpose. The submitted personal data is processed by Facebook Ireland as our processor to provide us with the campaign reports and analytics.

Personal data is only processed for the creation of analyses and campaign reports if you have previously given your consent to this. The legal basis for this processing of personal data is therefore Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. A transfer of data to Facebook Inc. in the USA cannot be excluded. . Please note the information in the section "Data transfer to third countries".

You can object to the collection and storage of the above-mentioned data by rejecting the use of cookies via the cookie banner that appears (section Privacy Policy Cookiebot) or by rejecting the use of cookies in your browser settings (section Cookies).

Scope of data collection

The controller has integrated components (plug-in) of the LinkedIn Corporation on this website. LinkedIn is an Internet-based social network that enables users to connect with existing business contacts and to make new business contacts.
The operating company of LinkedIn is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. For data protection issues outside the USA, LinkedIn Ireland, Privacy Policy Issues, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, is responsible.

With each individual call of our website, which is equipped with a LinkedIn component (LinkedIn plug-in), this component causes the browser used by the data subject to download a corresponding representation of the component from LinkedIn. As part of this technical procedure, LinkedIn receives knowledge of which specific subpage of our website is visited by the data subject. If the data subject is logged in to LinkedIn at the same time, LinkedIn recognizes which specific subpage of our website the data subject is visiting with each call to our website by the data subject and for the entire duration of the respective stay on our website. This information is collected by the LinkedIn component and assigned by LinkedIn to the respective LinkedIn account of the data subject. If the data subject activates a LinkedIn button integrated on our website, LinkedIn assigns this information to the personal LinkedIn user account of the data subject and stores this personal data.

If the data subject does not want this information to be transmitted to LinkedIn, this can be prevented by logging out of your LinkedIn account before visiting the website. Further information on LinkedIn plug-ins can be found at developer.linkedin.com/plugins.

LinkedIn offers the ability to unsubscribe from email messages, SMS messages, and targeted ads, as well as manage ad settings at https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls. LinkedIn also uses partners such as Quantcast, Google Analytics, BlueKai, DoubleClick, Nielsen, Comscore, Eloqua and Lotame, which may set cookies. Such cookies can be rejected at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy.LinkedIn's applicable privacy policy is available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. LinkedIn's cookie policy is available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy.

Purpose of data collection & legal basis

The purpose of data collection is to use the LinkedIn pixel to communicate information about our company, products and services to targeted users and to provide an opportunity for interaction. The legal basis for the data processing is based on your consent through the cookie banner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).  You can object to the collection and storage of the above-mentioned data by rejecting the use of cookies via the cookie banner that appears (section Privacy Policy Cookiebot) or by rejecting the use of cookies in your browser settings.

Storage

The collected data will be stored for 2 years, after which it will be deleted.  If you revoke your consent, no more data will be collected and stored after your revocation. However, the revocation of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

Possibilities to prevent the collection of data

Unless you give your consent in the cookie banner, no collection and storage of the data specified in this paragraph will take place in this context.
